Build Boundaries with the Past & Find Yourself in the Present

Not all trauma looks like one big event. Sometimes it’s the slow drip of shame, the heaviness of silence, or the ache of never feeling seen. Trauma can come from what happened to you—and also from what never happened for you. Whether it’s childhood trauma, complex trauma, family wounds, or the ongoing stress of navigating systems that weren’t built for you, you deserve support that meets you where you are.

I offer trauma therapy grounded in somatic healing, nervous system regulation, and deep respect for your lived experience—especially for queer, neurodivergent, BIPOC, polyamorous, and kink-aligned people navigating layered, identity-based trauma.

Glen’s Approach to Trauma

Trauma isn’t just in your head—it’s in your body, your breath, your relationships, and your sense of safety in the world. It can come from moments that overwhelmed your capacity to cope, or from years of feeling unseen, unsafe, or silenced. Whether it’s rooted in your childhood, your family of origin, vicarious stress from care work, or the ongoing harm of bias and systemic oppression, your pain makes sense.

I don’t believe in “fixing” trauma. I believe in listening to what your body is trying to tell you. Your responses—freeze, fawn, shutdown, anxiety—are not failures. They’re adaptations that helped you survive.

In therapy, we’ll slow down and make space to gently meet what’s been too much to hold alone. We’ll explore the younger parts of you still carrying the burden, and offer them the support and recognition they may have never received. You’ll build a deeper connection to your body, your boundaries, and your voice—not by erasing the past, but by shifting how it lives inside you now.

My approach blends somatic awareness, Gestalt therapy, mindfulness, bioenergetics, and inner child work. We’ll explore your trauma responses in the present moment, with compassion and curiosity, so you can reconnect with your full, authentic self.

Types of Trauma I’ve Worked With

  • Complex & developmental trauma

  • Childhood neglect or emotional abuse

  • Family of origin wounds & intergenerational trauma

  • Inner child healing

  • Vicarious trauma & burnout from helping roles

  • Trauma related to identity-based harm: racism, queerphobia, ableism, fatphobia, transphobia, xenophobia

  • Stigma, shame & trauma around being queer, neurodivergent, polyamorous, kink-affirming, or culturally marginalized

  • Chronic stress from living in systems of oppression

Your body remembers what your mind tries to forget, holding pain that once protected you. You don’t have to carry it alone or silence what still aches inside. Together, we’ll listen with kindness to those parts, not to erase your story but to help it soften—building boundaries that honor your past while making space for you to find your strength and presence right here, right now.

Why Choose Trauma Therapy with Glen?

I don’t rush your healing. We go at the pace your body needs—slow enough to feel, safe enough to stay.

You don’t have to carry the hard parts alone. I bring a steady, grounded presence so you can start to feel what it’s like to be with someone who truly sees you.

I offer care that doesn’t label or pathologize you. You’re not broken—you adapted. We’ll honor the wisdom in your responses, even the ones that no longer serve you.

My practice centers queer, trans, neurodivergent, BIPOC, poly/ENM, and kink-aligned folks. I show up with lived experience, cultural humility, and deep respect for the complexity of who you are.

Healing here isn’t about “fixing” yourself. It’s about reconnecting—with your body, your boundaries, your breath, your younger parts, and your aliveness.
